Azure Solution Architect at Datacom (Hamilton Hybrid)
Design Azure cloud solutions for Datacom customers, spanning applications, integrations, APIs, data platforms, and AI. Guide delivery teams, lead workshops and governance, and contribute to hands-on implementation.
Description
- Design end-to-end Azure architectures covering applications, integrations, APIs, data platforms, AI capabilities, and cloud services
- Develop customer relationships, run workshops, convert business needs into technical solutions, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Lead and mentor delivery teams, offer architectural direction, and help engineers resolve complex technical challenges
- Define integration approaches, API strategy and governance, messaging solutions, and event-driven architectures
- Enable delivery through code reviews, proofs of concept, technical investigations, troubleshooting, and occasional development
- Contribute to proposals, estimates, solution assessments, and customer presentations
- Validate that solutions meet architectural principles, security needs, quality standards, and customer goals
- Help customers modernise applications, data platforms, and integration environments with Azure and contemporary engineering practices
- Advance engineering quality through reusable patterns, automation, and DevOps practices
- Work closely with developers, technical leads, project managers, business analysts, and customer representatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
- Wide-ranging technical experience in application development, cloud platforms, APIs, integration, data, and modern engineering practices
- Background leading technical teams and providing architectural direction in delivery settings
- Confidence engaging customers and facilitating technical and business conversations
- Experience with solution shaping, estimation, presales support, or proposal development
- Hands-on software engineering experience with .NET, C#, Azure services, APIs, or related Microsoft technologies
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence
- Experience delivering in Agile environments and working across multidisciplinary teams
- Practical judgment to balance architectural goals with delivery constraints
- Clear communication skills and a strong commitment to customer success
