AWS Data Engineer (Argentina Remote)

Build and improve AWS data platforms, pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and AI-ready datasets for Netrix Global’s clients. This full-time remote role is based in Argentina and includes occasional travel.

Description

  • Help develop, maintain, and continuously enhance the client’s data platform
  • Contribute across lakehouse architecture, data pipelines, data modeling, and cloud analytics solutions
  • Coordinate between data science teams, AI model developers, and the teams responsible for building and operating those models
  • Identify, create, and prepare data for modern analytics and AI solutions
  • Design ETL and ELT processes for data transformation
  • Design, build, and manage data lake architectures
  • Use Apache Hadoop ecosystem technologies, including Spark, Hive, Pig, Oozie, and Airflow
  • Integrate and validate data solutions through testing
  • Create and document tests against defined requirements
  • Operate in big data environments
  • Administer cloud data services, access controls, security, and data governance
  • Analyze and prepare datasets for machine learning workloads
  • Manage application and service monitoring and log data

Requirements

  • Professional experience performing data engineering or architecture work, including ETL, data preparation, ingestion, and streaming
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS environments
  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or other data-processing tools
  • Intermediate or upper-intermediate English proficiency
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Athena, or SageMaker
  • Experience using DevOps tools, including Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Ability to work from Argentina
  • Availability for a Monday-to-Friday shift from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
