Associate Technical Designer - New York City Onsite

Support apparel fit, construction, and technical package development for Lucky Brand. Partner with design, pre-production, vendors, and factories to maintain quality and brand consistency.

Description

  • Partner with Design and Pre-Production teams, under the direction of the Senior Technical Designer or manager, to define fit and aesthetics
  • Create complete product packages in PLM software with measurements, construction details, and technical sketches
  • Develop and maintain fit and construction standards that support consistent brand quality
  • Analyze fit history with the Senior Technical Designer or manager and suggest alternative construction methods or components
  • Prepare for and contribute actively to fit sessions
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate fit and construction issues to International Buying Offices and factories within development and production timelines
  • Maintain daily communication and follow-up with International Buying Offices, vendors, and cross-functional partners

Requirements

  • College degree in a related field is required
  • At least two years of technical design experience
  • Strong visual judgment for proportion, balance, and aesthetic details
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence and assertiveness when presenting fit assessments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong organization and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and willingness to seek input for the best resolution
  • Proficiency with PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel
