Asbestos Analyst – Remote, United Kingdom
SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking an Asbestos Analyst to carry out surveys, air monitoring, fibre counting, and clearance testing. The role supports accurate compliance reporting and asbestos risk management across UK projects.
Description
- Perform testing, inspections, and reporting in line with required professional standards
- Follow SOCOTEC quality procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Complete asbestos surveys, air sampling, fibre counting, and four-stage clearance testing
- Maintain, calibrate, and safely use analytical equipment
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Prepare and issue precise analytical reports
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and colleagues to meet agreed delivery timescales
- Identify ways to contribute to SOCOTEC’s broader service offering
- Monitor and analyse asbestos risks to help protect buildings and occupants
- Contribute to projects in defence, rail, roads, power, retail, heritage, and service environments
Requirements
- BOHS P403 and P404 or RSPH Level 3 qualifications in Asbestos Air Monitoring
- Relevant industry experience with a demonstrated record in a comparable position
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel for work
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Strong client-facing communication skills and confidence working with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders
- High standards of accuracy when collecting data and preparing reports
- Effective time management and the ability to deliver work by project deadlines
