Architecture and Systems Requirements Engineer at Carrier (Hybrid)

Define system architectures and requirements for Addvolt’s plug-in hybrid refrigerated transport technology. Coordinate interfaces, traceability, risk management, and validation across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Description

  • Own stakeholder, customer, and system requirements for new products, applications, and technology platforms
  • Build and maintain high-level architectures, functional decompositions, interfaces, and operating concepts for multidisciplinary systems
  • Convert customer, business, regulatory, and safety needs into precise, verifiable technical requirements
  • Preserve two-way traceability across stakeholder needs, system and subsystem requirements, design solutions, and verification activities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align architecture, implementation, integration, and validation
  • Define system interfaces and assist integration planning across electrical, mechanical, software, controls, and communications disciplines
  • Lead or contribute to architecture and requirements reviews, technical trade-off analyses, and concept assessments
  • Assess system-level risks, assumptions, and dependencies and support mitigation throughout product development
  • Support verification and validation planning by establishing acceptance criteria and confirming requirements coverage
  • Maintain system engineering records in line with configuration and change-control processes

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Product Architecture, Requirements Engineering, or a comparable role
  • Solid knowledge of systems engineering methods, product development workflows, and multidisciplinary integration
  • Hands-on experience eliciting, analysing, decomposing, specifying, tracing, and changing requirements
  • Capability to create functional and physical architectures and define subsystem interfaces
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities
  • Proven ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced international setting
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Experience with system architecture and modelling tools, ideally CATIA Magic and Enterprise Architect or comparable platforms
  • Background in automotive, commercial vehicles, transport refrigeration, energy systems, or power electronics
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and product-compliance standards
  • Experience with FMEA, verification and validation planning, configuration management, or Agile delivery practices
