Android Engineer at inDrive (Hybrid, Kazakhstan)
Build passenger and driver Android applications for inDrive’s Intercity service, supporting rides and parcel delivery across more than 35 countries. Develop geolocation, real-time status, analytics, and AI-assisted capabilities.
Description
- Create features for Android apps used by passengers and drivers.
- Build functionality around geolocation, maps, and live order statuses.
- Conduct A/B tests, maintain feature flags, and add analytics tracking.
- Review code, write tests, and shape solutions with backend and iOS engineers.
- Use tools such as Claude Code and Copilot within an AI-first development approach.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of Coroutines, Flow, MVVM/MVI, and dependency injection with Dagger or Hilt.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience developing multi-module projects with Gradle.
- Understanding of networking, caching, and applications operating over unstable connections.
- Practical experience writing unit tests.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
- Experience with mapping and geolocation services such as Google Maps or 2GIS is advantageous.
- Experience with Play Integrity, fake GPS prevention, or other anti-fraud technologies is advantageous.
- Experience with Spec-First or AI-assisted development is advantageous.
