AI Architect, Agentic Platform - Kaltura (Hybrid, Israel)

Lead the architecture of Kaltura’s agentic video platform, spanning speech, avatars, LLMs, and real-time systems. Shape scalable, low-latency production solutions for enterprise customers worldwide.

Description

  • Own the complete architecture for real-time conversational workflows and offline video processing
  • Establish interfaces and ownership boundaries across speech, avatar, and agentic system layers
  • Set platform direction for speech pipeline composition, real-time orchestration and transport, model routing, and build-versus-adopt decisions
  • Lead the integration of newly built, adopted, or acquired capabilities into a unified target architecture
  • Manage latency budgets, cost-per-outcome models, and strategies for graceful system degradation
  • Design long-term memory systems and privacy controls for consent, retention, deletion, and data residency
  • Define cross-platform interfaces, engineering standards, registry contracts, extension points, and governed routes for customer-owned components
  • Establish technical governance for assessing, advancing, versioning, and retiring platform capabilities
  • Use technical spikes and recommendations to prototype and reduce risk around future capabilities
  • Work with research, platform, FDE, product, and executive teams while presenting architecture to customers and leadership
  • Build prototypes, analyze traces, review code, and test architectural decisions against production metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline is required
  • At least 12 years of industry experience
  • At least 5 years as a principal, staff, or lead architect responsible for system-level design of a production platform
  • Demonstrated success architecting large-scale, distributed, multi-tenant production systems with responsibility for latency, cost, and reliability
  • Strong cloud background designing and operating production systems on a major cloud platform
  • Extensive practical experience with agentic systems and LLMs, including orchestration, tool calling, interoperability standards such as MCP, retrieval, and production failure modes
  • Experience building real-time systems, including streaming transport, latency management, and graceful degradation under load
  • Advanced Python skills
  • Hands-on experience with AI evaluation, tracing, and observability
  • Background working at a SaaS company
  • Experience with speech technologies such as ASR, TTS, or speech-to-speech, including streaming architectures
  • Experience with generative video, avatar generation, or diffusion and flow-matching model families
  • Experience with real-time media frameworks
  • Experience addressing enterprise governance and compliance requirements
  • Experience building or operating multilingual systems
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is strongly preferred
