Actuarial Model Developer - Zurich Insurance, Onsite Switzerland

Develop and enhance Prophet models for Zurich Insurance’s IFRS 17 reporting, risk-based capital reporting, and business planning. Support model governance, validation, audit readiness, and actuarial projects across the business.

Description

  • Build, maintain, and enhance Prophet models for IFRS 17 reporting, risk-based capital reporting, and business planning
  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify changing requirements and convert them into effective modelling solutions
  • Increase efficiency through process improvements, automation, and new ways of working
  • Keep models and related processes aligned with company governance standards and regulatory requirements
  • Produce and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation
  • Test and validate models to confirm their accuracy, reliability, and fitness for purpose
  • Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of modelling controls and governance practices
  • Apply actuarial expertise and technical insight to cross-functional projects and wider business initiatives

Requirements

  • Essential experience developing Prophet models, including Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise
  • Full or partially completed actuarial qualification
  • A strong degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related subject
  • Advanced technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Professional experience in the life insurance sector
  • Knowledge of multiple life insurance products, especially unit-linked business
  • Understanding of IFRS 17 and risk-based capital reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical and numerical capability
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to question established methods and lead continuous improvement
