- Serve as the primary billing and finance contact for firm partners while building strong working relationships
- Oversee a portfolio of high-value client accounts in accordance with firm financial policies and finance procedures
- Apply knowledge of billing models, commercial terms, fee arrangements, client needs, and law firm economics to advise assigned partners
- Coordinate accurate, timely billing, monitor receivables, and resolve barriers to prompt payment
- Analyze client portfolios and financial results using dashboards and reporting tools, identifying trends and recommending improvements
- Anticipate client concerns and disputes, resolving issues with sound judgment, resourcefulness, and professionalism
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and professionally in writing and conversation
- Promote client satisfaction through a proactive approach to improving the client experience
- Manage competing priorities effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least four years of experience in a high-volume, high-dollar automated law firm finance environment, including billing and collections
- Working knowledge of financial policies and procedures, along with accounting and collections software systems
- Ability to conduct complex financial analysis
- Ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels and contribute effectively to a team
- Ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client-service orientation
- Experience with Aderant or another legal finance system required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
