  • Direct company-wide accounting operations, including periodic reporting, consolidation systems, and comprehensive controls.
  • Set accounting policies and standards covering financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, systems, and controls.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities.
  • Coordinate GAAP-compliant financial statement and filing preparation.
  • Perform as-needed financial analyses and communicate findings to executive leadership.
  • Establish internal controls and oversee policy and procedure audits.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
  • Assess US accounting standards and establish appropriate treatment for project-related transactions.
  • Oversee general ledger activities for profit recognition and consolidation across multiple construction specialty contracting entities.
  • Lead the Consolidation Accounting team, including its structure and staffing.
  • Review ledger entries, reconciliations, reports, schedules, and financial statements.
  • Direct transaction recording and ensure prompt preparation, validation, and resolution of reconciliations and exceptions.
  • Keep accounting policies and procedures documented and current.
  • Interpret accounting reports and improve reporting and accounting processes.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, decision-useful information to executive management.
  • Address reporting questions from management, auditors, and special-request stakeholders.
  • Prepare annual audit schedules and support audit and tax-filing activities.
  • Maintain effective relationships with independent auditors.
  • Meet local, state, and federal reporting obligations.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • At least 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in cost accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proven relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
  • Results-focused approach with the ability to lead performance, service, and outcome improvements.
  • Highly detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of the industry and the company’s competitors.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and take on responsibilities beyond the standard scope when needed.
  • Big Four accounting firm or construction industry experience preferred.
  • CMA, CFMA or MBACMA certification, an MBA, and/or construction or engineering industry experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel 0–5% to job sites or office locations.
  • Ability to meet physical and workplace conditions, including repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements, noisy settings, and light to heavy work involving 20–100-pound objects.
