Senior Corporate Accountant
Lead core accounting work, including accruals, reconciliations, financial close, and reporting. Support Employer.com’s operations, subsidiaries, and merger integrations.
विवरण
- Oversee daily accounting, from accrual bookkeeping and journal entries to reconciliations and general ledger upkeep.
- Lead and contribute to month-end and quarter-end close.
- Record intercompany and subsidiary transactions through journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly and keep records accurate across multiple entities.
- Handle accounting for commissions, expenses, accruals, and other operational transactions.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Apply U.S. GAAP and help maintain sound internal accounting controls.
- Assist with accounting integration and financial transitions following mergers and acquisitions.
- Find ways to simplify close, increase efficiency, and improve financial reporting.
- Work with finance, credit risk, and internal leadership teams.
- Contribute to pro forma analysis, financial planning, and one-off accounting projects.
- Own accounting processes and maintain continuity through business transitions.
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least two years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with more experience may be considered for a Senior Accountant position.
- Practical experience with accrual accounting and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
- Ability to interpret profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar software.
- Ability to independently manage accounting operations or own multiple accounting functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Preferred: Experience supporting multiple entities or subsidiaries.
- Preferred: Experience in a small or midsize business, startup, or public accounting firm.
- Preferred: Experience with M&A transactions, accounting integrations, or business transitions.
- Preferred: Experience with commission accounting, internal controls, or accounting process improvements.
- Preferred: Track record of improving or speeding up month-end close.
