Prepare surfaces and apply marine coatings for naval vessels at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. Operate blasting equipment and support ship production in an onsite shipyard environment.

- Support blasting and painting work with approved marine coating systems
- Prepare surfaces to required specifications, including blast profiles and coating conditions
- Apply coatings under supervision while developing proper thickness and application techniques
- Operate blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently
- Work in shipyard settings that may involve heights, confined spaces, and changing weather
- Meet production requirements across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Apply Ingalls safety procedures consistently in all tasks and work areas
- Help protect vessel structures from corrosion and extend their service life
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least six months of experience as a painter or blaster
- Practical experience with industrial painting, blasting, coatings, or a related trade
- Basic knowledge of surface preparation and coating application
- Ability to operate painting and blasting tools and equipment safely
- Ability to complete all blasting requirements and functions using applicable methods
- Ability to identify and correct blasting and painting deficiencies against contract specifications
- Ability to connect airlines to the manifold and spray horizontally, vertically, and side to side
- Ability to sandblast and demonstrate use of each component of the blasting equipment
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
- Willingness to work in an active industrial setting while continuing to develop painting skills
- Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in changing weather conditions
- Willingness to support production across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
