- Build, test, maintain, and deliver Db2 products and solutions using C, C++, HLASM, and related technologies.
- Design and code complex Db2 product solutions, and resolve defects.
- Develop design options and lead code and design reviews.
- Assess how IBM Db2 changes affect BMC products.
- Stay current on Db2, mainframe environments, industry developments, and related software technologies.
- Work with global clients to resolve complex product issues and escalations.
- Mentor developers and provide technical direction to the team.
- Advance BMC AMI Copy for Db2 and BMC AMI Recover for Db2 within the Intelligent z Optimization & Transformation group.
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least 10 years working in z/OS environments, including knowledge of z/OS architecture and logic, Db2 internals, and z/OS internals.
- At least 10 years of IBM coding and development experience, including extensive system-level work in C and C++.
- Working knowledge of HLASM, CLIST, and JCL.
- Substantial experience with JES2.
- Experience in IBM mainframe environments using TSO/ISPF, JCL, Db2, and VSAM.
- Experience analyzing system dumps with IPCS, XDC, or comparable tools.
- Experience writing code that uses low-level operating system functions.
- Ability to turn business requirements into functional designs or specifications.
- Deep experience diagnosing complex application and system problems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be able to work remotely from the United States or Canada.
- BMC cannot provide visa sponsorship.
