- Lead Site Reliability and Platform Engineering teams within the DevOps function.
- Set DevOps roadmaps, priorities, delivery commitments, dependencies, outcomes, and risk management.
- Create planning and execution practices for predictable delivery of complex infrastructure work.
- Balance production reliability with long-term platform improvements.
- Manage and develop DevOps engineers through performance reviews, career planning, hiring, team design, compensation and promotion input, and performance management.
- Work with Engineering Managers, Team Leads, and engineers to identify infrastructure needs and address systemic issues.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance through architecture discussions, design decisions, troubleshooting, and direct work on complex problems.
- Improve platform availability, resilience, observability, incident response, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
- Improve incident management, root-cause analysis, and postmortems, and prevent recurring operational issues.
- Lead work across Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code, observability, scalability, security, and developer experience.
- Automate operational bottlenecks and repetitive tasks to increase engineering productivity.
- Assess infrastructure architecture, resource use, and cloud spending to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Build an AI-enabled engineering organization and incorporate AI into design, prototyping, refactoring, testing, and code review.

- Experience leading infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams, combining technical direction, delivery ownership, and people management.
- Ability to develop practical roadmaps, break down complex technical work, set commitments and deadlines, surface risks, and carry initiatives through to completion.
- Clear communication with engineers and leadership, constructive challenge of assumptions, explanation of technical trade-offs, and ability to align teams on priorities and decisions.
- Substantial experience building and operating production infrastructure, with technical depth at Senior, Lead, or Staff DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineer level.
- Extensive production experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Compute Engine, networking, IAM, DNS, load balancing, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking, ingress, storage, autoscaling, security, cluster lifecycle, and production troubleshooting.
- Strong production experience with Terraform or Terragrunt, Helm, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience designing and operating modern delivery platforms with tools such as Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience running highly available production environments, taking part in on-call rotations, troubleshooting distributed systems, and leading incident response.
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, SLOs, and production monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex distributed systems, dependencies, and failure modes, and make practical architectural trade-offs among reliability, scalability, delivery speed, and cost.
- Comfort working in AI-driven engineering settings and using AI as a primary productivity tool.
- Preferred: SRE or Platform Engineering leadership; high-load, real-time distributed platforms; SLOs, SLIs, or error budgets; internal developer platforms; Kafka; PostgreSQL or AlloyDB; Redis; FinOps; iGaming; product companies or scale-ups; or Staff, Principal, or Architect-level roles.
