Tavsif

  • Lead and assign work for Water/Wastewater Department employees
  • Manage complex projects of varying sizes that require specialized expertise and multidisciplinary teams
  • Build lasting client relationships while serving as the primary client manager
  • Direct department activities in alignment with company policies, goals, and objectives
  • Attend utility district meetings, including occasional meetings outside regular business hours
  • Develop and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Coordinate across departments to keep project delivery aligned with client expectations
  • Deliver projects within approved scope, budget, and schedule
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Review draft agreements
  • Contribute to and approve project scopes and fees
  • Exercise independent judgment on engineering and project management matters
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues and company leadership
  • Develop engineering proposals and statements of qualifications alongside business development and marketing teams
  • Share expertise through knowledge transfer and staff training
  • Represent the company within the industry and model professional standards for staff

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relevant alternative engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer registration in Texas, or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity
  • At least five years of relevant experience in client management, project management, or engineering design
  • Experience working with municipal utility districts or other local municipalities
  • Familiarity with TCEQ, City of Houston, and county regulations
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater systems
  • Broad understanding of engineering principles
  • Ability to present information clearly and answer questions from managers, clients, and the public
  • Ability to interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned office service areas using personal transportation
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Strong verbal communication, computer, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
