Systems Engineer (Linux and Windows) – Germany Remote

Operate and support Linux and Windows infrastructure, web servers, load balancers, and databases for CONVOTIS. The role combines SOC/NOC operations, incident resolution, infrastructure troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Tavsif

  • Serve as the initial contact for customer requests and monitoring alerts in the first-level SOC/NOC operations team
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly and dependably
  • Configure, tune, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows environments
  • Manage kernel tuning, filesystem tasks, and Active Directory administration
  • Run and maintain web servers and load-balancing platforms
  • Manage TLS certificate termination
  • Assist with database operations across MariaDB, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL environments
  • Recommend enhancements to configurations and technical architectures
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of operations processes
  • Train and onboard incoming team members
  • Exchange technical knowledge across the team
  • Maintain thorough documentation and record working time each day
  • Work scheduled shifts that may include nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Take on additional responsibilities to broaden expertise or assist colleagues

Talablar

  • At least five years of relevant professional IT operations experience, excluding education and internships
  • Advanced practical Linux expertise, including kernel tuning, filesystems, and system configuration
  • Strong Windows administration skills, especially Active Directory and system configuration
  • Practical experience with web servers including Traefik, Nginx, Envoy, or Apache
  • Practical experience with load balancers including Traefik, Nginx, or Envoy
  • Working knowledge of at least one of MariaDB, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Basic knowledge of TLS certificate termination
  • Able to work independently with a structured approach
  • Willingness to share technical knowledge
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • German language skills are an advantage
