Software Engineer II, SAP Datasphere - Hyderabad Onsite

Build and optimize SAP Datasphere data models, integrations, and analytics solutions for insightsoftware. The role covers SQL development, performance tuning, testing, deployments, and production support.

Tavsif

  • Create SAP Datasphere data models, views, and data flows that support business reporting requirements.
  • Develop and optimize SQL and SQLScript for transformations, calculated views, and custom logic.
  • Investigate data-load failures, connectivity problems, and modeling defects, then deliver root-cause fixes.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of data models, data flows, and queries.
  • Partner with business and functional teams to convert requirements into scalable data models.
  • Maintain documentation covering data models, lineage, and technical design decisions.
  • Track the SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud roadmaps and recommend relevant capabilities.
  • Build working knowledge of broader SAP functional concepts and modules.
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, solution design, SIT and UAT, deployments, and production operations.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and management.
  • Prepare documentation, progress updates, and communications for users.
  • Own activities across multi-module business processes to advance operational excellence and organizational objectives.

Talablar

  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in SAP data and analytics, including recent hands-on work with SAP Datasphere or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and/or SAP Business Data Cloud.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP Datasphere, including spaces and connections, graphical and SQL-based modeling, data flows, replication flows, task chains, and data marketplace or data-sharing concepts.
  • Understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud architecture, including data products, Business Data Fabric, and integration with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Strong SQL scripting skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, table functions, and HANA SQLScript.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data flows, calculation views, replication jobs, and connections.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, including query tuning, partitioning, indexing, memory and resource management, and bottleneck analysis.
  • Willingness to adapt, cross-train, and acquire new skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and work confidently with clients in onsite and offshore models.
  • Strong multitasking skills with accurate prioritization.
  • Ability to learn new technologies through guided instruction and independent study.
  • Ability to resolve challenges and deliver outcomes.
  • Ability to work across varied functional areas.
  • Interest in learning SAP functional modules.
  • SAP certification in Datasphere, BW/4HANA, or HANA is preferred.
  • Experience integrating SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BTP, or Databricks within SAP Business Data Cloud is preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud reporting and dashboarding is preferred.
  • Willingness to develop functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO, SD, MM, or HCM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA Cloud administration fundamentals is preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP FI, MM, or SD modules is preferred.
  • Experience working with Agile or hybrid delivery methods is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Central Finance is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be based at the Hyderabad, India office.
