Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Deploy Fortreum’s Kovr AI compliance platform across cloud, hybrid, and classified environments. Automate secure infrastructure, compliance evidence collection, and continuous monitoring for federal and enterprise customers.

Tavsif

  • Deploy and operate the Kovr AI Platform in enterprise and federal customer environments.
  • Connect customer DevSecOps toolchains with the platform.
  • Automate compliance evidence collection and continuous monitoring.
  • Configure workflows that speed Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Coordinate technical work between customers and Kovr’s engineering team.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform and develop reusable modules.
  • Operate and scale container workloads with Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Implement security controls and monitoring aligned with NIST 800-53 and OSCAL frameworks.
  • Develop observability strategies for logs, metrics, alerts, and SLOs.
  • Connect GitHub, JIRA, Splunk, and Snyk to automated compliance and remediation workflows.
  • Work with engineering and compliance teams to sustain continuous authorization.
  • Support monitoring and audit readiness through evidence collection and control mapping.
  • Resolve production issues and improve deployment reliability.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture decision records.
  • Represent infrastructure and security in cross-functional planning and customer technical discussions.

Talablar

  • Bring at least seven years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
  • Have hands-on experience designing AWS infrastructure at scale with Terraform.
  • Have strong production experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), including cluster design, Helm charts, and GitHub or GitOps workflows.
  • Have direct experience in FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-53/800-171, or DoD SRG compliance environments.
  • Be familiar with OSCAL or other machine-readable compliance and documentation frameworks.
  • Have integrated SAST/DAST or infrastructure-as-code security scanning into a pipeline.
  • Be proficient in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-moving startup-within-a-company setting.
  • Live in the Washington, DC metro area.
  • Security or cloud certifications such as Security+, AWS Certified Security, CYSA+, or CISSP are preferred.
  • Experience integrating LLM coding agents, MCPs, and automation into DevOps workflows is preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal DevSecOps deployments or highly regulated commercial clients is preferred.
