Senior Business Analyst - Tax Reporting Sydney Hybrid
Senior Business Analyst role supporting GBST’s TaxIntell digital tax-reporting platform in Australia. Lead requirements, solution design, stakeholder engagement, releases, demonstrations, and AI-enabled process improvements across financial-services projects.
Tavsif
- Engage professionally with internal and external clients to define business objectives and capture requirements
- Produce business analysis deliverables that remain traceable to business objectives throughout the project lifecycle
- Work with Development, Testing, Implementation, Documentation, and Training teams to align solutions with business requirements
- Coordinate test coverage, implementation activities, documentation, release notes, and training deliverables
- Support clients throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Prepare business design specifications covering development outcomes, client integration, and non-functional requirements
- Deliver designs on schedule and within budget while obtaining approval from Product Boards and client stakeholders
- Support the Product Owner with release strategy, MVP scope, and roadmap initiatives
- Develop and deliver training alongside ongoing end-user support following implementation
- Demonstrate Tax products, enhancements, and solution capabilities to internal stakeholders, prospective clients, and existing customers
- Contribute to product adoption, client engagement, and pre-sales activity
- Serve as a subject matter expert during workshops, requirements sessions, and solution discussions
- Use emerging AI tools and prompt engineering to evaluate options and improve process and documentation design quality
- Partner with internal teams located across Australia and Vietnam
Talablar
- Tertiary qualifications or at least eight years of Business Analyst experience in IT or financial services
- In-depth knowledge of Australian investment management and superannuation, including operating models, product structures, regulatory obligations, and reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of Australian tax concepts and reporting requirements for managed funds, investment trusts, custodial services, and superannuation funds
- Experience in tax is advantageous
- Experience working for or delivering solutions to Tier 1 global institutional banks, custodians, asset managers, or wealth managers is advantageous
- Experience contributing to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in complex financial-services or fintech environments
- Ability to explain ideas, solutions, and complex business concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Practical experience with Jira and Confluence
- Ability to work effectively in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and presentation capabilities
- Ability to lead solution demonstrations and workshops with senior client stakeholders, ideally with experience applying AI methods and prompt engineering techniques.
