Senior Accounting Specialist – Hybrid, Alingsås

Greenstep is seeking a senior accounting specialist to manage client assignments and advise businesses on accounting and finance functions. The role covers reporting, financial processes, client relationships, and development of accounting operations.

Tavsif

  • Own client assignments and uphold high standards across accounting, reporting, and delivery.
  • Support a diverse client portfolio ranging from entrepreneur-led businesses to international groups.
  • Advise clients on accounting, financial reporting, closing procedures, taxation, and business-related financial matters.
  • Contribute to complex consulting engagements involving chart-of-accounts and dimension structures, cash flow, due diligence support, consolidation, budgeting, and additional reporting.
  • Serve as a key client contact through regular communication, follow-up, and proactive advice.
  • Share expertise and support junior colleagues through mentoring and knowledge exchange.
  • Work closely with clients as a strategic partner for their finance functions.
  • Help strengthen clients’ finance operations and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and team leads while continuously expanding your expertise.

Talablar

  • A university or higher-education degree in finance, economics, and/or accounting.
  • At least five years of broad experience in finance and accounting.
  • Several years of independent experience preparing monthly and annual closings, annual reports, tax calculations, and income tax returns.
  • Strong interest in business systems and the ability to learn new accounting and enterprise systems quickly.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Fortnox, Capego, Business Central, or Light is an advantage.
  • Previous work in a multi-client environment, such as an accounting firm or consultancy, is an advantage.
  • Fluent Swedish and English.
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, financial closing, and taxation.
  • Ability to solve problems independently, including in challenging situations.
  • Ability to advise clients on bookkeeping and improve financial administration processes.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Availability to work from the Alingsås office three days per week.
  • An authorized accounting consultant qualification is an advantage.
  • The employer may request a criminal record extract and certificate confirming no outstanding debts from selected candidates.
