Senior Accountant and Financial Specialist - Mexico Remote

Senior accounting professional responsible for GenePlanet’s accounting, tax, and financial operations in Mexico. Prepare close processes, financial reports, and analysis that support preventive genetic testing operations.

Tavsif

  • Oversee the company’s daily accounting and financial operations in Mexico
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and current accounting records in line with applicable laws and standards
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage invoicing, payments, bank reconciliations, and accounting entries
  • Monitor cash flow and support financial planning and forecasting
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican tax and regulatory obligations
  • Coordinate tax filings and reports for government authorities
  • Stay current with changes to Mexican tax, accounting, and financial regulations
  • Coordinate with external accounting and tax advisers, auditors, and service providers
  • Oversee documentation for taxes, payroll, suppliers, customers, and financial operations
  • Reconcile transactions between the Mexican entity and other GenePlanet group companies
  • Coordinate financial reporting and consolidation with the headquarters finance team
  • Prepare regular reports for the Country Manager and group management
  • Analyze costs, margins, revenue, and financial performance indicators
  • Identify risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and improve internal controls, financial procedures, and administrative processes
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with other departments on financial and administrative processes
  • Complete other financial tasks and projects assigned by the Country Manager or central finance team

Talablar

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Substantial professional experience in accounting and finance, preferably as a Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, General Accountant, or in a comparable role
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and Mexican tax and financial regulations
  • Experience with monthly and annual closes and the preparation of financial statements
  • Experience handling taxes, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations
  • Experience preparing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ability to perform financial analysis and turn financial information into practical business recommendations
  • Experience working with tax and accounting advisers and external auditors
  • Knowledge of and experience with internal control processes and financial compliance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office in a Windows environment
  • Experience using accounting systems and ERP software
  • Ability to produce and manage accurate financial reports
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Assertive, professional communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • High level of responsibility, confidentiality, and professional integrity
  • Good English proficiency for communication with international teams
  • Experience in international companies or multinational groups, intercompany operations, financial consolidation, and coordination with finance teams in other countries is especially valued
