Tavsif

  • Lead the university’s Figma web design system, maintaining its components, patterns, guidance, and documentation.
  • Drive design tokenization to build a scalable, consistent foundation across products and platforms.
  • Work with web developers to evolve the system and align design with production.
  • Find and address usability problems across university websites.
  • Ensure web experiences comply with WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA/Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize usability studies with tools such as Userlytics.
  • Turn research findings into prioritized design recommendations.
  • Build repeatable usability testing practices.
  • Support audience journey mapping and conversion rate optimization.
  • Assess and introduce AI-assisted design tools and efficient workflows.
  • Guide freelance designers by assigning work, setting priorities, and reviewing quality.
  • Coordinate design work in agile sprints with the web development team.
  • Partner with web development, marketing, and content teams.
  • Maintain consistent design quality across contributors and channels.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • At least seven years of UX or product design experience, including direct responsibility for a design system.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain Figma design systems, including component libraries and design tokenization.
  • Experience planning and conducting usability studies with tools such as Userlytics.
  • Working knowledge of journey mapping and conversion rate optimization.
  • Strong grasp of web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA/Section 508.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design tools and other technologies to improve efficiency and work quality.
  • Experience partnering closely with web development teams to bring designs into production.
  • Experience assigning and overseeing work by freelance or contract designers and being accountable for team output.
  • Experience delivering work in agile sprints alongside development teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with design, development, and marketing partners.
  • Ability to make sound design decisions with incomplete information and deliver iteratively.
  • Ability to work within existing design systems, brand standards, and technical constraints.
  • Ability to balance hands-on design work with system-level thinking and prioritization.
