Principal Cybersecurity Architect (PQC) – Remote Virginia

Lead ShorePoint’s federal post-quantum cryptography migration program as a principal cybersecurity architect. Guide senior architects, define crypto-agility strategy, and shape enterprise security architecture.

Tavsif

  • Lead and mentor senior systems architects and engineers through daily technical direction
  • Advise the project manager on workload allocation and staffing needs
  • Support a federal agency’s post-quantum cryptography migration strategy under NIST standards and CNSA 2.0
  • Inventory cryptographic systems, protocols, and data stores vulnerable to quantum decryption risks
  • Define crypto-agility standards and recommend hybrid classical/PQC implementation approaches
  • Assess ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and SLH-DSA for enterprise use cases, performance limits, and system requirements
  • Develop enterprise cybersecurity architecture requirements with federal stakeholders
  • Create software, hardware, and communications design architectures
  • Design, implement, and baseline enterprise cybersecurity capability configurations
  • Verify implementations and configuration changes against intended security outcomes
  • Create policy aligned with CISA maturity models, NIST standards, and federal requirements
  • Coordinate collaboration among government and contractor teams
  • Prepare briefings, presentations, and written materials covering program status, risk reduction, and value

Talablar

  • At least 10 years of systems architecture experience, including technical supervision and direction of senior architects and staff
  • Active CISSP or CISM certification
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise cybersecurity architectures and capabilities
  • Experience developing enterprise cybersecurity architecture requirements with customers and stakeholders
  • Experience baselining enterprise cybersecurity capabilities and validating implementations and ongoing configuration changes
  • Experience creating policy aligned with CISA maturity models and NIST standards
  • Experience with PKI, key management, and certificate lifecycle management
  • Ability to lead teams, collaborate across stakeholder groups, and explain complex technical topics to technical and executive audiences through briefings, presentations, and written deliverables
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and convert them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking
  • Must currently be a U.S. citizen to meet federal contract requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, mathematics, engineering, or a related field is beneficial
  • Knowledge of PQC standards, including NIST-selected ML-KEM (FIPS 203), ML-DSA (FIPS 204), SLH-DSA (FIPS 205), and CNSA 2.0
  • Knowledge of crypto-agility, hybrid cryptographic implementation, PKI, key management, and certificate lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity architecture spanning software, hardware, and network communications
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST SP 800-series, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CISA maturity models
  • Knowledge of enterprise network architecture and cryptography
  • Knowledge of cloud, hybrid, and multicloud security architecture, FedRAMP, and cloud key management
  • PQC architecture experience, including cryptographic inventories, hybrid key exchange, discovery tools, CBOMs, FIPS 140-3, HSMs, federal PQC policy, Zero Trust, federal cloud platforms, PMP, or cloud security certifications is beneficial
