Tavsif

  • Run detailed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to evaluate and refine the aerodynamic performance of racing vehicles and components.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) tools to build and revise aerodynamic surfaces and components for simulation and testing.
  • Plan wind-tunnel tests for scale models and full-size vehicles, then execute the tests and analyze the resulting data.
  • Create aerodynamic solutions that improve speed, handling, and stability while managing the balance between downforce and drag.
  • Work with design, vehicle dynamics, and other engineering groups throughout vehicle development.
  • Analyze aerodynamic results, prepare technical reports, and present conclusions and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Investigate and apply emerging aerodynamics methods and technologies.
  • Verify that aerodynamic developments meet applicable motorsports regulations and technical requirements.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and analysis methods.
  • A master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Prior experience in automotive or motorsports aerodynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD software for design and modeling.
  • Proficiency with GitHub CLI, Linux, and Python, including pandas, Matplotlib, reqwest, and venv.
  • Practical wind-tunnel testing experience covering test planning, execution, and data analysis.
  • Strong interest in motorsports and a thorough understanding of vehicle performance dynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, careful attention to detail, and a creative approach to engineering challenges.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills for addressing complex aerodynamic problems.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing competitive environment.
  • Experience supporting trackside testing.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
