Wintel Infrastructure Engineer
Maintain secure Windows infrastructure for a Computacenter enterprise customer in Derby. Handle incidents, deployments, technical improvements and project delivery in an onsite role.
Opis
- Resolve incidents and problems by providing solutions and workarounds
- Meet service-level agreements and deadlines
- Review services and application delivery
- Prioritise and manage several tasks at once
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues across teams and with customers
- Stay current with technology developments
- Work with customers to understand their needs
- Design, develop and deploy technologies on Windows platforms
- Provide remote, out-of-hours on-call support
- Support a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer environment in Derby
- Contribute to technical improvements and project delivery
Zahteve
- Hold current DV clearance, or SC clearance and eligibility to obtain DV clearance
- Have third-line Managed Services experience providing specialist support for Windows Server platforms
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make key technical decisions independently
- Have strong communication skills
- Be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
- Have Active Directory experience covering GPO, forests, domains, domain controller roles, DNS, permissions, delegation, trusts, LDAP and Kerberos
- Have experience with VMware or VxRail
- Have experience with DHCP
- Have experience with Exchange 2019 or SE
- Have experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025, including Server Core
- Have experience with Skype for Business 2019 or SE
- Understand core Windows infrastructure components, including DHCP and Windows failover clustering
- Have experience designing, developing and deploying technologies on Windows platforms
- Have experience with PKI and certificate management
- Have experience with Quest Active Roles, Change Auditor and Recovery Manager
- Have experience with antivirus technologies, including McAfee ePO, ENS, VSE, HIPS and DLP
- Have scripting experience with PowerShell, VB or a similar language
- Desirable: exposure to Citrix, virtualisation, messaging, Ivanti Device Control, SecureEnvoy 2FA, Nexthink and Trelix ePO
