Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Transmission Controls
Lead the development and verification of transmission software and controls for Caterpillar machinery. The role combines technical leadership, embedded software testing, and Model-in-the-Loop validation.
Opis
- Lead the design and improvement of transmission systems
- Work with machine and transmission application leads and software architects to plan, build, test, and maintain transmission software
- Integrate shared software libraries and code generated by development tools
- Test and debug embedded software with available tools and methods
- Verify software in the lab and conduct Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing
- Guide the design and implementation of software and procedures
- Find and resolve weaknesses in finished products
- Advance transmission software and controls through technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration
Zahteve
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science from an accredited institution
- Typically, at least five years of engineering experience for this senior-level position
- Experience developing software with MATLAB/Simulink
- Extensive familiarity with tools such as Git, CANalyzer, CANape, and software debuggers
- Knowledge of CAN/J1939 communication protocols
- Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications
- Knowledge of requirements analysis tools, methods, and techniques
- Ability to work full-time at the Mossville, Illinois office
