Opis

  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines.
  • Transform data for downstream use.
  • Provide operational support and maintain runbooks and documentation.
  • Design and deliver strategic solutions using modern data engineering practices.
  • Independently build and optimize data ingestion and transformation jobs.
  • Deliver incremental datasets for downstream consumers.
  • Promote automation and use DevOps practices in an agile development environment.
  • Assess existing pipelines and improve their performance.
  • Recommend future architectures to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Work with data platform engineering, governance, science, analytics, and visualization teams.
  • Support and mentor early-career professionals.
  • Report to the VP or AVP of Data Solutions Engineering.

Zahteve

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Understand ETL/ELT, cloud technologies, and data operations.
  • Have at least four years of programming experience with Python, Julia, and/or R.
  • Be proficient in SQL.
  • Have strong knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality practices.
  • Experience with Databricks, Dagster, and/or dbt is preferred.
  • Be detail-oriented when debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Insurance or reinsurance domain knowledge in actuarial, investment, or finance is a plus.
