Part-Time Event Server, Terrain Events
Serve guests at upscale weddings and large events at Terrain Events, handling setup, food service, and breakdown. The role is part-time and based in Wayland, Massachusetts.
Opis
- Set up dining rooms, patios, bars, and ceremony or garden spaces.
- Reposition tables and chairs between event segments and during breakdown.
- Deliver polished service for passed appetizers, tableside wine, and buffet, plated, or family-style meals.
- Learn menu items, table locations, and seat numbers to run food, especially entrées.
- Clear glasses, dishes, silverware, and trash from event tables and bring them to the kitchen.
- Refill and restock stationary food and beverage displays, and adapt them as events change.
- Dry, polish, and store event equipment.
- Keep service stations clean and orderly.
- Represent Terrain with professionalism and care.
Zahteve
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to stand and move for 8–10 hours.
- Be able to work indoors and outdoors.
- Be available on weekends and some holidays.
- Work at least three shifts per month during peak season, April through December.
- Provide recurring weekly availability.
- Be available for typical shifts from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
- Bring a flexible, proactive, collaborative approach to the team.
- Be comfortable with formal event moments such as speeches and dances.
- Have food service experience; upscale hospitality, catering, fine dining, wedding, or banquet experience is a plus.
