Opis

  • Design and maintain embedded software for network security appliances through implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
  • Write efficient, maintainable software primarily in C.
  • Develop networking capabilities across data-plane, control-plane, and system-management layers.
  • Build and improve firewall, authentication, encryption, access-control, and threat-protection features.
  • Diagnose complex performance, concurrency, memory, networking, and system-stability issues.
  • Inspect packet flows and troubleshoot network protocols with Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Improve throughput, latency, and scalability in resource-constrained environments.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Create unit, integration, and system tests to support product quality and reliability.
  • Work with hardware, QA, product management, security research, and customer support teams.
  • Apply secure-development practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Zahteve

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of professional software development experience, including substantial work with C.
  • Strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, pointers, memory management, and concurrent programming.
  • Experience building system-level or embedded software on Linux or another Unix-like operating system.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and common network protocols, including Ethernet, ARP, IPv4/IPv6, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, TLS, and HTTP.
  • Experience with socket programming, inter-process communication, synchronization, and asynchronous event handling.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving ability with tools such as GDB, Valgrind, AddressSanitizer, perf, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative code review and continuous-integration workflows.
  • Ability to independently take complex features from design through implementation, testing, and production support.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Preferred: background developing firewalls, routers, VPN gateways, intrusion-prevention systems, secure-access products, or other network-security appliances.
  • Preferred: knowledge of stateful firewalling, NAT, routing, policy enforcement, traffic inspection, and session management.
  • Preferred: experience with IPsec, SSL/TLS, SSH, PKI, certificate management, or related security technologies.
  • Preferred: familiarity with authentication protocols and directory services such as Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, or OAuth.
  • Preferred: understanding of secure coding, vulnerability mitigation, cryptographic concepts, and common network attacks.
  • Preferred: experience with Python, Go, Bash, or another language used for automation, testing, or supporting services.
  • Preferred: experience developing software for multicore, high-throughput systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
