Staff Accountant

Descriere

  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and vendor accounts accurately and on schedule.
  • Review daily bank activity and verify accounting transactions.
  • Run payroll every two weeks.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve them.
  • Answer accounting questions from colleagues.
  • Oversee sales tax filings and tire disposal reporting.
  • Create journal entries.
  • Support monthly reconciliations and prepare GAAP-compliant financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Work with teams throughout the company to address business goals and financial needs.
  • Identify process improvements and help put new administrative tools into use.
  • Help communicate and roll out new administrative products and systems across the company.

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred; practical experience may also qualify.
  • Basic math ability and familiarity with business principles.
  • QuickBooks proficiency is required.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Experience with Excel, including PivotTables and formulas.
  • Power BI experience.
  • Microsoft Teams experience.
  • SharePoint experience.
  • Comfort navigating websites.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, time management, and listening skills.
  • Use sound reasoning to identify solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively and apply practical judgment to tasks.
  • Customer service focus and flexibility to prioritize varied needs.
