  • Build and maintain secure, high-performance Java applications
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and strengthen engineering practices
  • Review code and encourage consistent development standards
  • Mentor teammates through knowledge sharing and pair programming
  • Help develop team capabilities and adopt shared technical standards
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions
  • Improve development, automation, and delivery workflows
  • Identify practical ways to apply AI tools to development and team practices
  • Design and deliver solutions for the Passerelle squad, which connects to Visa, Mastercard, and CB payment networks
  • Serve as the squad’s technical point of reference

Cerințe

  • Master’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Six or more years of Java backend development experience in complex environments
  • Substantial experience building critical or highly transactional systems
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or facilitating technical team activities is advantageous
  • Fluent French at C2 level and professional English at B2–C1 level
  • Advanced proficiency with Java and its ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design
  • Experience with distributed systems, APIs, transactional platforms, and service-oriented architectures
  • Strong CI/CD, software quality, and automated testing skills
  • Understanding of performance, resilience, and observability concerns
  • Ability to assess technical issues broadly and influence engineering decisions
  • Background in demanding environments where rigor, reliability, and delivery quality are essential
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Technical leadership skills and a willingness to help colleagues develop
  • Clear communication and teaching skills, including explaining complex topics effectively
  • Collaborative approach to working and sharing knowledge
  • Curiosity about technology and strong interest in AI applications for software development
