Senior Executive, Insurance Compliance Filings - EXL

EXL is seeking a Senior Executive to manage NAIC and state insurance filings, regulatory documentation, and compliance coordination. The role partners with finance, legal, tax, and insurance teams in an operations and outsourcing environment.

Descriere

  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely filings to NAIC and state insurance departments
  • Track regulatory changes and keep submissions aligned with current requirements
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Legal, STAT/GAAP, and Tax teams to collect filing data and supporting documents
  • Send assessment invoices to Accounts Payable and monitor them through submission
  • Maintain complete records of filings and communications with regulatory authorities
  • Address regulator questions and document requests related to submitted filings
  • Support the development and rollout of compliance procedures and policies
  • Perform periodic reviews of adherence to regulatory obligations
  • Communicate relevant regulatory changes to stakeholders
  • Work closely with the onshore team and reprioritize tasks for urgent requests
  • Identify client needs, concerns, and issues and resolve them proactively
  • Coach team members and support their performance and skills development
  • Stay informed about applicable policies, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Help build internal compliance controls and maintain accurate, well-organized records
  • Support ongoing compliance adherence activities

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Qualified or semi-qualified accountant with 0–4 years of insurance compliance or regulatory filing experience
  • Strong knowledge of NAIC and state insurance regulations and filing requirements
  • Insurance industry knowledge, preferably in Life Insurance
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and STAT rules
  • Practical experience with ERP platforms including SAP, SAP S/4HANA, and Wing Sovos
  • International experience in a finance and accounting outsourcing environment
  • Experience in insurance and financial services
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents
  • Strong communication and comprehension skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Ability to deliver accurate, timely financial reports to management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond professionally to challenging situations
  • Insurance, reinsurance, life, or LOMA certification preferred
