Remote Data Engineer, Financial Services
Build and improve compliant data pipelines and architecture for employee-owned financial services firm D.A. Davidson. Collaborate across data, software, and business teams on enterprise data initiatives.
Descriere
- Extend and improve data and pipeline architecture.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune data flows for collection, integration, and provisioning.
- Design and maintain efficient, reliable, compliant data pipeline architecture.
- Improve processes through automation, faster data delivery, and scalable infrastructure redesign.
- Build and maintain service-based systems that publish usable data and information objects.
- Partner with data architects and analysts to develop the data environment.
- Help Business and IT stakeholders resolve technical data issues and meet information needs.
- Establish guidance and examples for accurate, compliant, secure data structures and integration.
- Help develop and implement enterprise standards for data quality and protection.
- Set performance indicators and quality metrics, and uphold data policies and standards.
- Join an on-call rotation to monitor and resolve data integration alerts and failures.
- Work with software developers, database architects, data analysts, and end users on complex data initiatives.
Cerințe
- At least five years of data engineering experience in an oversight capacity.
- Substantial experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies in a hybrid architecture.
- Advanced T-SQL skills, including relational databases, query writing, stored procedures, and end-to-end pipeline development.
- Experience analyzing internal and external data and operational processes.
- Strong analytical skills for complex, layered pipelines and dependent datasets.
- Experience gathering requirements from technical and non-technical users.
- Knowledge of data preparation, metadata, dependencies, lineage, compliance, and workload management.
- Understanding of conceptual, logical, relational, dimensional, and multidimensional data modeling.
- Understanding of metamodel and metadata management needs.
- Extensive experience with SQL syntax.
- Experience designing data structures and interfaces for applications and business processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines, notebooks, Lakehouse and Warehouse concepts, and Medallion architecture.
- Experience with relational database platforms, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with SSIS and Azure Integration Services.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as ActiveBatch.
- Experience with web services and API integrations.
- Experience with Python and PowerShell.
- Experience with Agile, DevOps, and DataOps practices and technologies.
