Full-Time R&D Insulation Engineer – Villeurbanne Hybrid

Join SuperGrid Institute as an R&D Insulation Engineer developing insulation technologies for high- and medium-voltage DC and AC grid projects. The role combines electrical simulation, testing, modeling, technical research, and collaboration with project teams and customers.

Descriere

  • Review research, technical literature, and emerging technologies related to the assigned topic
  • Run simulations and tests in line with defined specifications
  • Produce objective reports for the R&D or Project Manager
  • Help develop new technologies by designing, preparing, and testing physical or digital mock-ups
  • Coordinate the resources needed for mock-up preparation and test execution
  • Analyze findings and present results in internal and project meetings
  • Support the preparation of scientific and technical reports, publications, reviews, and brochures
  • Present technical findings at conferences and communications events
  • Support customer collaborations and service development through technical exchanges and project delivery

Cerințe

  • PhD, engineering degree, or five-year Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy, or Electrical Engineering
  • At least two years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in electrical modeling and testing
  • Capacity to work independently and lead innovative research projects
  • Initial experience designing high- or medium-voltage equipment is preferred
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Effectiveness in project-based work environments
  • Strong communication skills with external customers
  • Excellent ability to synthesize and summarize information
  • Curiosity, independence, and rigor
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
