Founding Backend Engineer (Go)

Build the core identity, security, and enforcement systems for an AI-powered cyber risk platform. Help shape how enterprise customers assess and manage identity risk.

Descriere

  • Build and maintain backend services in Go.
  • Design and optimize cloud solutions with AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, and SNS.
  • Design and manage data stores including PostgreSQL, Neo4J, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
  • Develop and optimize Docker-based containerized applications.
  • Automate workflows with Bash and Python scripts.
  • Maintain and improve REST APIs for security and performance.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust applications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement caching, message queues, and event-driven architectures as needed.
  • Build the platform from the ground up.
  • As a founding team member, design foundational security, identity, and enforcement systems for an AI-powered security risk management platform.
  • Help enterprises manage identity risk with cloud-native systems, AI-driven analysis, and automated enforcement through AI agents.

Cerințe

  • At least five years of Go experience.
  • A hands-on approach, ability to build from scratch, and familiarity with varied architectures.
  • Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and containerized workloads.
  • Experience designing REST and gRPC APIs and using frameworks such as Gin.
  • Practical experience with messaging systems such as SQS and Kafka.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience operating PostgreSQL (RDS/Aurora), Neo4J, or a comparable database.
  • Experience with AI agents, LLM-based systems, MCP, RAG, prompts, embeddings, and vector technologies.
  • Experience with AI tools and platforms such as AWS Bedrock, LangChain, and pgvector, or similar.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Prometheus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues end to end.
  • Experience with coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, and Codex.
  • Experience supporting production SaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS integrations and application-to-application permission flows.
  • Strong sense of ownership, a startup mindset, and ability to move quickly.
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Low ego, strong commitment, and a startup-oriented approach to technology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
