Control Systems Designer, Data Centers — Remote U.S.

Descriere

  • Design automation and SCADA systems for mechanical and electrical systems supporting complex data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects
  • Partner with mechanical design teams to create control sequences, diagrams, and points lists
  • Coordinate electrical design network architectures and points lists for distribution and conditioning systems
  • Define structured Ethernet cabling interfaces with ICT design teams
  • Engineer resilient OT networks using Ethernet and serial connections across wireless, fiber, and copper media
  • Prepare design bases, datasheets, and software requirements for BAS, PLC, and PMS controllers and instrumentation
  • Develop and customize technical specifications for controls, instrumentation, cybersecurity, and power monitoring
  • Apply current BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols and network requirements
  • Check designs against applicable U.S. codes and engineering standards
  • Use templated deployment models and record changes from client models
  • Coordinate across disciplines to deliver cohesive designs
  • Join project meetings and calls during flexible working hours
  • Track schedules and deliver work within budget expectations
  • Travel occasionally for client meetings, milestones, onsite collaboration, and other business-critical activities
  • Work with AECOM’s global teams on high-profile data center projects for international clients

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree plus more than six years of relevant experience, or equivalent demonstrated education and experience
  • At least four years as an instrumentation and controls engineer or controls contractor preparing controls submittals
  • Experience using BAS and PLC control system platforms
  • Experience with electrical power monitoring systems, including PMS or EPMS
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent field preferred
  • Experience delivering controls for colocation and hyperscale data center projects preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. codes and engineering standards
  • Experience in data center or other mission-critical environments
  • Experience designing or working with operational technology networks
  • Experience with SCADA platforms and defining technical cybersecurity requirements
  • Familiarity with BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP
  • Ability to verify compliance with applicable U.S. codes and engineering practices
  • Availability to work flexible hours for project meetings and calls
  • Ability to schedule work and meet budget requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to deadlines, and collaborate effectively
