Since 1968, the Atlanta Hawks have brought basketball and community together in Atlanta. The organization combines its NBA team with civic and community initiatives, including youth basketball access, efforts to address food insecurity, and voter engagement at State Farm Arena. Its work spans professional sports, live events, and community programming.

Youth Basketball Development Coach

Coach youth basketball at Atlanta Hawks camps, clinics, and community programs across metro Atlanta. Support instruction, event operations, partner relationships, and fan engagement.

Apraksts

  • Coach on and off the court at Atlanta Hawks Community Basketball Programs and Hawks Basketball Academy camps, clinics, and events.
  • Teach age-appropriate skills, drills, games, and competitions to children and players ages 6–18.
  • Bring a positive, energetic, and professional approach to Community Basketball activations.
  • Deliver excellent service to youth, parents, clients, corporate partners, and fans.
  • Help plan and run camps, clinics, tournaments, leagues, skills challenges, contests, and corporate partner activations.
  • Help identify, develop, build, and maintain relationships with community basketball partners.
  • Transport basketball equipment to and from events using the Hawks marketing vehicle fleet.
  • Help load in and load out event equipment.
  • Share Hawks values and Jr. NBA principles with youth participants.
  • Promote Atlanta Hawks Basketball Academy events, Hawks at Home, and Community Basketball programs.
  • Carry out assigned office and administrative tasks.
  • Represent and uphold the Atlanta Hawks brand identity and talent.

Prasības

  • An undergraduate degree is preferred.
  • Playing and coaching basketball experience is preferred.
  • Experience coaching or teaching youth is preferred.
  • Experience working at basketball camps, clinics, or tournaments is preferred.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holiday seasons is preferred.
  • NBA rules prohibit affiliation with an AAU Boys Basketball Program.
  • Must not work with draft-ineligible players, such as international players or top 100 high school players.
  • Must provide personal transportation to event locations throughout metro Atlanta.
  • Must be comfortable working with groups and enjoy public speaking.
  • Must be organized, punctual, attentive to detail, and a team player.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
  • Must attend orientation sessions, SMILE training, and company-wide training.
  • A valid driver's license and driver training are required before using a company vehicle.
