Temporary HEDIS Medical Record Analyst - Remote

Temporary remote role focused on retrieving, reviewing, and abstracting medical records for HEDIS quality reporting. Supports compliance and Quality Improvement through EMR/EHR analysis and accurate data capture.

Apraksts

  • Retrieve and abstract medical records to capture required HEDIS reporting data.
  • Obtain member records from EMR and EHR systems.
  • Review electronic records for required clinical documentation.
  • Download medical record images to designated corporate drives.
  • Track record receipt and retrieval progress in the appropriate software.
  • Request outstanding records by phone, fax, mail, or onsite pickup when necessary.
  • Enter pertinent abstracted or over-read data into the designated HEDIS database.
  • Organize assigned records for medical record abstraction.
  • Maintain professional, effective communication with provider offices.
  • Record abstraction findings in approved paper and electronic tools.
  • Share additional record-pursuit strategies with HEDIS team members.
  • Contribute to HEDIS reporting and Quality Improvement initiatives.

Prasības

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, EMR/EHR platforms, medical documentation, and clinical workflows.
  • Proven ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is desirable.
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG coding conventions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FACETS is a plus.
  • Previous HEDIS experience and medical record retrieval or abstraction experience in quality or research settings.
  • Associate degree in Nursing or a related field plus three years of clinical, medical records, or EMR/EHR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred certification includes a valid RN, LVN, LPN, CPC, or CCS credential.
  • Ability to satisfy wired internet requirements for working from home.
  • Access to a personal mobile device for multifactor authentication setup.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
