Senior Engineering Manager, Tenant Platform

- Lead delivery of Honeycomb Private Cloud infrastructure, tooling, and operational processes
- Expand the product, support sales objectives, and build customer relationships
- Work with Field Engineering, Support, and Sales on proofs of concept, security reviews, access negotiations, and contract requests
- Set priorities across engineering teams and keep SaaS and Private Cloud efforts aligned
- Bring tooling developed for Private Cloud back into SaaS infrastructure
- Develop and grow the senior Tenant team
- Reduce single points of failure and hire and onboard engineers as the product grows
Prasības
- At least one year managing a highly technical, senior engineering team
- A strong engineering track record, with the ability to influence without authority and leave systems and teams in better shape
- Experience managing or leading a team with a production on-call rotation
- Experience delivering and operating software in on-premises, private cloud, BYOC, or managed single-tenant environments
- Enough Kubernetes and AWS expertise to review designs and take part in incident reviews
- Experience working with enterprise customers, including security questionnaires, access models, procurement, and escalations
- Ability to set firm priorities on a small team with a broad scope
- Experience hiring and onboarding engineers in a domain with a steep learning curve
- Comfort using AI tools and a considered view on when to apply them
- Ability to verify identity and work eligibility
- Honeycomb cannot currently sponsor visas or support visa transfers
- Bonus experience includes observability or OpenTelemetry, hands-on coding, Go, Terraform, Kafka, large-scale data infrastructure, FedRAMP, GovCloud, regulated-industry compliance, solutions architecture, consulting, or deployment engineering
