Senior Cloud Engineer - Germany Remote

Lead Azure and Microsoft 365 infrastructure design, migration, security, automation, and support for client environments. This senior role covers cloud architecture, critical infrastructure operations, governance, and technical leadership.

Apraksts

  • Design and deliver enterprise-grade Azure solutions for small and midsized businesses
  • Lead migrations of on-premises servers, applications, and data to Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Migrate file servers and shared data to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
  • Architect, configure, and support Azure compute, storage, virtual networks, Azure Virtual Desktop, and hybrid connectivity
  • Design, troubleshoot, and maintain Azure site-to-site and point-to-site VPN connections
  • Design and administer identity and access controls with Microsoft Entra ID
  • Configure and support Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, and application protection
  • Implement cloud security and governance with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, role-based access control, and landing zone standards
  • Design, implement, and validate backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and scripts with PowerShell and Azure CLI
  • Monitor Azure usage, optimize consumption, and recommend cost-management and right-sizing improvements
  • Provide Tier III escalation support for critical cloud infrastructure incidents
  • Partner with project leads and managers to deliver solutions within agreed scope, budget, and milestones
  • Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, low-level designs, test plans, runbooks, and client cloud documentation
  • Collaborate with vCIOs and Client Technology Advisors on cloud standards and technology roadmaps
  • Establish and continuously improve cloud design and implementation standards
  • Mentor engineers and share technical expertise
  • Take part in training and certification programs

Prasības

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft cloud infrastructure
  • At least 5 years of MSP or consulting experience in a managed-services environment
  • Demonstrated leadership of complete cloud migrations from on-premises environments to Azure
  • Experience moving on-premises file servers and shared data to SharePoint Online and OneDrive
  • Expertise in Azure compute, storage, virtual networking, network security groups, Azure Firewall, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure site-to-site VPN and hybrid networking, including VPN Gateway, IPsec/IKE, BGP, VNet peering, and hybrid DNS resolution
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, hybrid identity, and privileged access management
  • At least 4 years of PowerShell experience
  • Hands-on experience with Bicep, ARM, or Terraform and Azure CLI
  • Strong cloud security and governance background covering Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Microsoft Purview, and Zero Trust principles
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint compliance, device configuration profiles, application deployment, and mobile application management
  • Experience with Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and/or Windows 365 is strongly preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2016–2022, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Hyper-V or VMware
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune
  • Familiarity with Azure Cost Management and cloud cost-optimization recommendations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, work effectively in a small team, and contribute to a collaborative culture
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification required
  • University degree and/or related technical diploma preferred
  • Willingness to work adjusted schedules, including evenings and weekends, for customer needs, project timelines, and emergency response
  • Ability to work from home or another remote location required
