Renewable Energy Engineering Manager – Romania (Hybrid)

Lead technical delivery for Aukera Energy’s solar, battery storage, and renewable-energy projects in Romania. Oversee design, EPC contractors, technical due diligence, and construction support.

Apraksts

  • Act as the technical lead and primary contact for project teams working mainly on Romanian initiatives.
  • Manage technical matters across assigned projects.
  • Support project development from early-stage development through Ready To Build and Financial Close.
  • Provide technical support to project management during construction, commissioning, PAC, and FAC.
  • Lead technical assessments for project acquisitions and manage external Technical Advisors during due diligence.
  • Evaluate project data and define designs and major equipment using site conditions and techno-economic criteria.
  • Optimise LCOE to improve project commercial performance.
  • Identify project constraints and risks, develop mitigations, and refine designs accordingly.
  • Lead Owner’s Requirements and technical appendices for EPC contracts.
  • Lead basic design development for EPC requests for proposals.
  • Assess EPC Contractor bids, reports, orders, and claims for compliance, and support negotiations.
  • Source, coordinate, and manage Technical Advisor services.
  • Review Technical Advisor analyses and reports, provide feedback, and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Lead and coordinate technical reviews of EPC Contractor detailed designs.
  • Visit greenfield sites and projects under construction.
  • Work closely with Development, Investment, Procurement, and Construction teams.

Prasības

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale Solar PV projects in Europe in a comparable role for a developer, IPP, or Technical Advisor.
  • Strong understanding of Solar PV plant components, including modules, inverters, structures, and trackers.
  • Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and/or Wind technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong capability in layout design and Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) development.
  • Good understanding of the factors influencing PV, BESS, and/or Wind plant performance.
  • Experience using PVsyst, PVdesign, AutoCAD, or other modelling software for Solar, BESS, or Wind projects.
  • Experience with EPC and O&M contracts, including technical appendices.
  • Experience delivering BESS and/or Wind projects is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or a related field is required.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Fluent Romanian.
  • Additional fluency in a European language is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and presentation abilities.
  • Able to meet demanding deadlines, prioritise effectively, and manage an independent workload.
  • Able to work independently and contribute effectively within a dynamic team.
  • Flexible, proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and use initiative.
  • Understanding of contractors, consultants, network operators, equipment suppliers, permitting authorities, and other project stakeholders.
