Principal Corporate Counsel, Product Legal | Cisco (Hybrid)
Advise Cisco’s networking and Webex product organizations as Principal Corporate Counsel. Counsel product teams on SaaS, AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory, and intellectual property matters.

- Counsel product management and engineering teams on services, products, and features throughout their lifecycle
- Partner closely with business, sales, engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to bring products to market
- Develop a thorough understanding of go-to-market plans, business processes, and product offerings
- Advise on AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory, and intellectual property matters alongside global legal specialists
- Draft and maintain product legal materials, including transparency disclosures and product-specific terms
- Contribute to team priorities and provide support as needed
Prasības
- Admission to a bar and at least seven years of law firm and/or in-house legal experience
- Transactional or product counseling experience is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with software, cloud, or SaaS products and licensing matters
- Manage legal requests from multiple internal clients and deliver several projects from initiation through completion
- Prioritize effectively and keep stakeholders informed of progress
- Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance
- Experience handling privacy, data protection, and data use matters
- CIPP/E certification is a plus
- Apply strong business judgment while balancing legal risk with commercial objectives
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements for both customers and service providers
- Work independently with strong attention to detail
- Evaluate novel issues, develop sound responses, and create practical solutions
- Think strategically and adapt to varied stakeholder and customer needs
