Mechanical Commissioning Engineer – El Paso, TX (Hybrid)
Plan and coordinate mechanical commissioning for construction and renewable-energy projects with FTI. Support field start-up, equipment testing, troubleshooting, performance documentation, and compliance verification.

- Create, implement, and coordinate commissioning plans and supporting documentation
- Coordinate, execute, and audit commissioning activities on site
- Assist with commissioning, resource, and execution planning
- Partner with Preconstruction and Project Managers to define requirements and establish plans
- Help develop lockout/tagout (LOTO) plans and start-up scripts
- Prepare detailed procedures and checklists covering equipment performance and system integration
- Support the Commissioning Site Lead with LOTO and start-up script structure, training, and implementation
- Perform field surveys
- Collect and record data confirming equipment meets operational standards and requirements
- Prepare support materials and reports for Project Managers and the commissioning team
- Document equipment functionality against project specifications and requirements
- Research issues and address field needs throughout the commissioning process
- Direct office and field teams in start-up activities that meet specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Collaborate with equipment providers to troubleshoot installed systems during start-up, testing, and commissioning
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Prasības
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Three to eight years of related experience, or five to twelve years of mechanical commissioning experience
- Willingness to travel 20% to 40%
- Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical terminology and components
- Availability Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test
