Junior Accountant – iGaming, Malta (Hybrid)

Apraksts

  • Manage daily bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payments accurately and on time.
  • Help reconcile bank accounts, payment service providers, and player wallets, investigating discrepancies with senior colleagues.
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries, accruals, and prepayments under supervision.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, including account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Help with intercompany reconciliations and invoice processing.
  • Keep accounting records and supporting documents accurate and organised.
  • Provide financial information and documents for statutory audits, internal reviews, and regulatory reporting.
  • Follow internal controls, financial procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contacts, including suppliers, banks, auditors, and payment providers.
  • Contribute to process improvements and other ad hoc Finance projects.

Prasības

  • Hold a diploma, degree, or be pursuing a professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Candidates pursuing ACCA or an equivalent qualification are encouraged to apply.
  • Have at least three years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience in iGaming, fintech, payments, or an international business environment is an advantage.
  • Understand accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reconciliations.
  • Use Microsoft Excel proficiently.
  • Experience with accounting software, particularly BMD, is an asset.
  • Communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
  • German language skills are an advantage.
  • Bring strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and accuracy.
  • Manage high transaction volumes while meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Show initiative, reliability, motivation, and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Communicate and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team.
  • Handle routine duties independently and seek guidance when needed.
