  • Design and debug software for product enhancements and new products
  • Build software tools, including operating systems, compilers, networks, databases, and internet-related tools
  • Assess software compatibility with hardware and shape software design around hardware considerations
  • Make component-level changes
  • Develop expertise in the current product domain
  • Connect product work to the external market
  • Deliver structured, tested, documented code within agreed timelines
  • Provide reasonably accurate estimates for assigned work
  • Attend required meetings and agile ceremonies
  • Add test coverage to guard against future changes
  • Report to the Manager of Software Engineering

Reikalavimai

  • At least five years of software engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Sound computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures, gained through education or experience
  • Strong programming ability
  • Proficiency with complex programming tasks and standard data structures and algorithms
  • Ability to recommend solutions to technical problems
  • Ability to write modular, maintainable code with some guidance
  • Ability to make efficient technical trade-offs
  • Ability to recognize how software changes affect systems
  • Understanding of hardware principles to inform design decisions
  • Ability to turn requirements into code
  • Mastery of at least one programming language
  • Strong code design skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing real-world software
  • Preferred: ability to write code faster than the average developer
  • Preferred: consistently produce high-quality code with few bugs
  • Travel requirement of 0–10%
