Geospatial Specialist I – Xcel Energy, Minneapolis Hybrid
Support Xcel Energy’s GIS applications, utility data quality, and regulatory reporting. Provide user assistance, training, analytics, and project support.
Aprašymas
- Support GIS users with technical and business process guidance.
- Provide in-person and remote assistance to business customers.
- Train users and share knowledge of enterprise GIS systems and SAP.
- Handle geospatial inquiries, including regulatory requests, data extracts, and analytics.
- Help users resolve GIS application and business process questions.
- Work with IT Support to diagnose and resolve application errors.
- Carry out daily merge and post activities and prepare weekly GIS conflict reports.
- Fulfill requests for specialized GIS maps.
- Analyze data and manage imports and extracts for business processes, regulatory reporting, and downstream applications.
- Prepare metrics on Geospatial organization productivity and efficiency.
- Research missing as-built paperwork and remove invalid design alternatives and versions from GIS and Design Tool applications.
- Assist the Geospatial Project Management team with test scripts, implementation, reporting, and documentation.
Reikalavimai
- A degree in GIS or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least three years of gas and electric utility experience, with demonstrated proficiency in geospatial applications and in-depth knowledge of electric and gas systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to explain complex material clearly in writing and speech.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with GE Smallworld is preferred.
- Experience with Esri ArcPro and ArcGIS Online (AGO) is preferred.
- Experience with Databricks is preferred.
- Experience with Python is preferred.
