Associate, Controllership Transformation

Help modernize finance operations for Portage Point Partners’ middle-market clients. Support transformation, reporting, transactions, and data analytics in a hybrid role based in Gurgaon.

  • Shape and improve end-to-end finance processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report.
  • Assess existing finance operations, uncover inefficiencies, and design future operating models.
  • Contribute to process design and the implementation of technology-enabled solutions.
  • Assist with monthly and annual close work, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger close, financial statements, foreign currency accounting, and audits.
  • Substantiate balance sheet accounts, reconcile accounts, and prepare audit schedules.
  • Contribute to acquisition, divestiture, and finance integration engagements.
  • Analyze financial information and prepare materials for clients.
  • Prepare reports that communicate key findings.
  • Build data-led models, reports, and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Excel.
  • Work with senior colleagues to identify root causes and improvement opportunities, then develop recommendations.
  • Join client meetings and help deliver proposed solutions.
  • Help create methodologies, templates, and best practices for the OCFO and TAS practices.
  • Contribute to recruiting and firm-building efforts.
  • Help sustain a high-performing, inclusive, values-led workplace.

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • More than four years of relevant consulting experience in finance transformation, controllership, or financial reporting.
  • Working familiarity with procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes.
  • Willingness to relocate to Gurgaon or work primarily from there.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting treatments.
  • Experience with finance platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, BlackLine, or FloQast.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, including executive-level presentations and reports.
  • Ability to perform well in small, fast-moving teams.
  • Careful attention to detail, responsiveness, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • A record of success in demanding, client-facing settings.
  • Private equity client or U.S. and global transaction experience is preferred.
  • An advanced degree or professional credential such as CPA or CA is preferred.
