Build production AI products and workflow automation for Abby Care’s family-led home-care platform. Develop dependable systems for caregivers, clinicians, and operations teams.

- Develop AI agents, copilots, and workflows for care and operations teams
- Build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and reusable AI components
- Create systems that extract and reason over clinical documents, conversations, operational records, and structured or unstructured data
- Assemble representative datasets, evaluate performance, investigate failures, and refine models, prompts, retrieval, tools, and workflows
- Work with Product, Design, Clinical, and Operations teams to understand workflows, uncover edge cases, and apply production feedback
- Write maintainable code with thorough tests
- Create shared capabilities for orchestration, tool use, structured outputs, monitoring, tracing, and evaluation
- Turn AI prototypes into dependable production features
- Improve system quality through production feedback and error analysis
- Build reusable components and take independent ownership of increasingly complex projects and technical decisions
- Choose the right approach among AI, deterministic software, and human review
Reikalavimai
- Bring at least two years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI, or demonstrate equivalent ability
- Have strong programming skills and solid software engineering fundamentals
- Have experience building applications with language models, machine-learning models, or modern AI APIs
- Be familiar with backend development, APIs, data processing, testing, and production software systems
- Be able to frame ambiguous problems, test assumptions, and refine solutions based on evidence
- Be interested in building evaluations and understanding why AI systems succeed or fail
- Show ownership and curiosity, and be willing to engage directly with users and operational workflows
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation
- Live in the San Francisco Bay Area or be willing to relocate there permanently
- Experience with Python, agent architectures, retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, multimodal models, structured generation, model evaluation, monitoring, or prompt optimization is preferred, but not required
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, insurance, another regulated setting, a startup, or an operations-intensive business is preferred, but not required
