Senior Underwriter, General Liability and Entertainment - Allianz

Senior underwriter responsible for evaluating and structuring General Liability and Entertainment insurance at Allianz Seguros. The role covers portfolio management, technical negotiation, and underwriting innovation.

  • Assess and underwrite Entertainment and General Liability exposures for High MidCorp and LargeCorp clients.
  • Review financial, operational, and contractual data against technical standards, profitability objectives, and portfolio exposure.
  • Design tailored insurance programs by setting limits, deductibles, coverages, exclusions, and special terms.
  • Apply underwriting guidelines, governance requirements, delegated authorities, and the company’s risk appetite.
  • Negotiate technical conditions with brokers, clients, commercial teams, and reinsurers.
  • Assist with distribution, relationship management, and new-business development activities.
  • Manage the portfolio proactively, tracking growth, retention, profitability, and overall risk quality.
  • Contribute to renewals, portfolio assessments, and analysis of market developments.
  • Help create and improve General Liability and Entertainment products, policy wording, and insurance solutions.
  • Take part in technical reviews of significant claims.
  • Act as a technical resource for the team while supporting the growth of less experienced colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovation projects, including artificial intelligence applications and agents for underwriting and information cross-referencing.
  • Report to the Manager.

Талаптар

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Intermediate English proficiency, including the ability to read, write, and participate in training.
  • Technical understanding of insurance underwriting, especially General Liability and/or complex risks.
  • Analytical capability to assess risk and interpret financial, operational, and contractual information.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with brokers, clients, commercial teams, and reinsurers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Entertainment risks, such as audiovisual productions, films, series, commercials, and podcasts, is preferred.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence to underwriting, including agent development and information cross-referencing, is preferred.
  • Experience developing or improving insurance products, policy wording, and related solutions is preferred.
