Senior Backend Engineer, Java and Spring Boot
Build and support Java and Spring Boot services for ioet’s global clients. Lead production support and reliability work on complex software systems.

- Improve the reliability and performance of complex software systems.
- Lead and support a team that keeps client systems operating smoothly.
- Manage client support tickets covering errors, configuration requests, and operational issues.
- Analyze logs, API behavior, monitoring alerts, and system data to find root causes.
- Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Apply or coordinate system configuration changes to meet client needs.
- Monitor system health and performance with Datadog or similar tools.
- Test requests and troubleshoot behavior with Postman, Insomnia, or curl.

- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including building and supporting production applications.
- Experience leading or coordinating engineering, support, or technical operations teams.
- Hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot, including REST controllers, dependency injection, configuration, and backend service development.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or comparable testing frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software engineering practices.
- Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Redis or similar caching technology.
- Familiarity with AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
- Understanding of microservice communication patterns, including asynchronous messaging and event-driven architectures.
- Daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code for coding, debugging, testing, and improving workflows.
- Ability to review AI-generated code, validate it, and take ownership of the result.
- Experience diagnosing production issues, finding root causes, and implementing reliable fixes.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and professional software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong English communication skills at C1 level.

- Experience with Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Datadog, Sentry, or similar observability tools.

- Experience with message queues and event-driven systems.
- Experience building AI agents, custom skills, MCP servers, or engineering automations with Claude Code, Claude API, or similar technologies.
- Experience creating technical documentation and context files for AI development tools.
- Experience optimizing performance, database indexing, and distributed systems.
